Goals of April 2014

I created some monthly goals back in April of 2014. The list seemed very ambitious and when I reviewed it again in 2020, I realized I haven't finished half of them. But I am glad that  I finished half of them. This shows the importance of to-do list. It is even if you might not finish everything on list, atleast you will finish some or half and that is what matters the most! Although I don't craft monthly goals at the moment but this blog post is a good remainder of what I have tried in the past.

=== List from 2014 ==

I have decided to create monthly goals and track them here. This way I will be able achieve my goals and track them easily. The reason of doing this here is that I easily lose track of my TO-DO list. 2 weeks back I had to fill up some documents. I kept it for the weekend but I forgot about it. Worst that I remembered it on Sunday night. That day I decided enough is enough, I will start consolidating my to-do list and I will track it online.

So the goals of this month are: Green represents done. Red represent not done or partly done.
  1. Learn 8-10 upper body exercises. I have gained fat in my upper body and I regularly go to the gym. It doesn't seem like that I am losing any of the upper body fat so I have decided to exercise at the target areas. I have found some youtube videos and they have 10-20 minutes exercises. I will try them out this week and will figure out if the work out is doing its trick.
  2. I will get a weight machine using coupons :) Yes, I found a good weight machine on JCP and had a good coupon but couldn't use it so I am waiting for the coupon to come back. If I couldn't use that coupon, I will use other coupon code that is valid till mid-may.
  3. Finish last 2.5 seasons of Friends. This series for some reason is getting delayed and delayed. I have decided to finish watching it in a week. Don't get me wrong, it is not a task for me.  This is not how any sitcom should be watched. So I will try to finish it soon. To use the time well, I am thinking of going to gym, walk on treadmill and watch maximum shows over there over a period of days or 2 weeks.
  4. Finish reading that book on 'Its all about dividend investing'. I started reading that book and left it in between. It is a good book with some really good information so I have decided to finish reading it before I had to return it to the library.
  5. Walk atleast 3 miles on one day on the weekend. On Sunday, I have the habit of spending most of my time at home so now I am trying to break that habit. On Sundays I try to leave my home for 2-3 hours and walk in the neighboring trail or garden.
  6. Use coupons and save more money. Recently, I started using coupons and I am loving it so far. We always need some goods every day so I am planning to use coupons for most of them. I am not going to use a coupon for the sake of using it. I won't any stuff that I don't need just to use the coupon. So I am going to use discretion there.
  7. Watch at least 10 episodes of 'What not to Wear'. I have seen one episode and they give out some good advice so I am trying to get trendy with their advice. I will post some blogpost once I watch some of the episodes.
  8. Post an article to this blogpost every Wednesday and Sunday.
